Chelsea Jackson is the Assistant City Manager for the City of Douglasville. Ms. Jackson is responsible for assisting the City Manager in directing and supervising the day-to-day operations of the City, which includes directly overseeing the following departments
Chelsea is responsible for creating and managing the city’s first citizen’s academy, overseeing the old county jail demolition which will be the future site of the city’s Town Green and Amphitheatre, as well as facilitated clean-up of the city’s old mill site that was ruined by fire about ten (10) years ago.
She holds a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Governmental Administration from Kennesaw State and Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Armstrong Atlantic State University. Chelsea is also a participant in the 2020 cohort of the Carl Vinson’s Institute of Government’s Certified Public Manager program.
Chelsea is passionate about young professionals and their involvement in local government and continues to mentor individuals by providing knowledge of the importance of being a public servant.
